PATNA: In her first election campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi took a dig at cine star Hema Malini for unduly criticising the RJD government for bad condition of roads in Bihar.
Addressing a meeting at Maner, she said how could Hema Malini judge the condition of roads here when she did not use them at all. Stating that Central government should be blamed for the poor conditions of roads in Bihar, Rabri said the actress, instead of criticising the state government, should question Vajpayee.
Launching a verbal attack on the BJP for using movie stars for campaigning, she said RJD already has a hero and heroine (read Laloo and Rabri) and so it does not need any stars to win elections.
The party will only fight the elections with the help of people who are its main support, she said.
Becoming emotional and taking a leaf out of Indira Gandhi’s well-acclaimed speeches, Rabri said she will fight for the right of the poor till the last drop of her blood.
